Keep the painting out of direct sunlight to prevent fading, and avoid areas with high humidity or major temperature swings, as canvas can warp over time. Avoid touching the painted surface, since oils from skin can damage the paint over years. Hang it away from direct heat sources like vents or fireplaces, and if not on display, store it upright in a cool, dry place, never wrapped in plastic (which traps moisture). For deeper cleaning or any damage, always consult a professional art conservator rather than attempting it yourself.
